Regarding COVID-19, you can rest assured that Garrick House has implemented additional measures to support you during your stay.  Garrick House is a 100% vaccinated business.  We are a small family-owned and operated business and all staff are fully vaccinated.

If you book direct with Garrick House you will receive a very flexible cancellation policy.  The policy only requires a minimum of 7 days’ notice of cancellation with a 25% deposit due 7 days’ prior to arrival.

We have always taken great pride in maintaining an extremely high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. We can reassure you that in addition to this already high standard, we have also implemented a number of additional cleaning measures in our public areas and guest apartments. These measures include, but are not limited to, increased frequency to the cleaning of our public areas such as our reception, swimming pool and poolside BBQ/bathroom facilities. Additional apartment cleaning measures have been implemented including additional disinfecting of high-touch areas.

Port Douglas is very much looking forward to open borders and welcoming back all visitors to our piece of tropical paradise.  Once borders open the town will be very busy and like most tourist towns across Australia we are experiencing staff shortages.  It is therefore advisable to be organised and have as many of your restaurant bookings, tour bookings, car hire and airport transfers booked well in advance.  We can assist with tour and airport transfer bookings and can provide advice in relation to restaurants and car hire.
